MEDICA is the world’s largest event for the medical sector. For more than 40 years it has been firmly established on every expert’s calendar. There are many reasons why MEDICA is so unique. Firstly, the event is the largest medical trade fair in the world – it attracted more than 5,100 exhibitors from 70 countries in 17 halls. Leading individuals from the fields of business, research, and politics grace this top-class event with their presence — naturally alongside tens of thousands of national and international experts and decision-makers from the sector.
MEDICA Dusseldorf takes place at Messe Dusseldorf, Arena-Straße, 40474 Düsseldorf, Germany on Nov 12th – 15th 2018. Arrotek will be in MEDICA Hall 16 Stand B61 and hope that you will come and say hello. We look forward to meeting you!

Work Due to Start on New Arrotek Premises
Arrotek Medical is one of eight Irish companies to join forces to create a global centre of excellence for the MedTech industry established under Enterprise Ireland’s Clustering Programme. It allows potential clients to easily access multiple leading MedTech service providers in Ireland, bringing companies with years of experience to one location.
The Atlantic MedTech Cluster is one of the first collaborative groups set up under Enterprise Ireland’s Clustering Programme. The cluster has been launched in Sligo by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD.
Arrotek Medical were the main sponsor for Sligo Rovers F.C. in their recent game against Shamrock Rovers. The game was played on Sligo Rovers home soil The Showgrounds. Full time score seen both teams share the points with a scoreless draw. This was a promising result for Sligo Rovers that were up against a good Shamrock Rovers side. Arrotek have supported Sligo Rovers over the years to help the club with their continued success
Arrotek Medical had 3 teams that took part in the Grant Thortan 5km road race in Ballybrit racecourse, Galway. The race had 350 participants from companies across the country. Arrotek finished 4th in the overall team standings with some of the participants running the 5km distance for the first time. Just shy of a podium finish, Arrotek will be back next year to take top prize.
Arrotek is excited to be showcasing at Medtec Europe again following on from last year. Medtec Europe is the leading event for those working in the medical technology space to exhibit important information regarding the entire supply chain of the medical technology industry. It is also an exciting platform for companies to display their innovations to potential investors. Medtec will offer companies the chance to meet with the industries best and brightest in order to discover what are this year’s latest innovations.

Arrotek have generously donated €1,000 to the Irish Kidney association to help provide patient support and rehabilitation in the Sligo area. This is Arrotek’s 4th year to support these services.
Arrotek has just received planning permission to add a first floor to its development and manufacturing facility in Collooney, this will ensure we have the capacity available to meet existing and new customer needs.
With the recent investment n a new in-vitro testing rig with dual endoscopic cameras and visual display units, Arrotek can now develop better structural heart models in order to carry out more in depth testing & visual analysis of prosthesis delivery systems
